We try to answer all inquiries within 24-48 hours, however, Friday-Saturdays are our busiest days, so inquires submitted during the weekend are responded to on Mondays.

• As early as possible, but at least 2 weeks in advance for the best chances of reserving your date. Our calendar fills up quickly and often time, clients book 4 weeks (if not more) in advance. We hate turning you away, so please book early so we can make those cake dreams come true! 
• Orders placed within 2 weeks of the event are expected to be paid in full to reserve your date.
• Orders placed within 10 days of the event incur a $35 late fee, if there is availability.

Simply put, no, we cannot. Here at Lulu’s Cakerie every cake is unique and custom made. Out of respect for the creative property of fellow cake artists, a cake design will not be replicated. Elements from the design can be used as inspiration, but please understand that the final design will still be different from the inspiration picture submitted.

Currently, Lulu’s Cakerie delivers for weddings and in cases where a celebration cake is larger than our small two tier cake.

All pickups take place in Charlotte, NC 28216. The address and meeting time will be sent via email closer to your pick up date.

At this time we specialize in buttercream cakes only. We may use fondant occasionally as a supporting accessory, but we do not design fondant covered cakes.

The retainer fee is 50% of the total price of the order. Once submitted, it is not refundable. The cake process starts as soon as that deposit is made. Custom items are ordered within hours of submitting your retainer fee and planning has already taken place.
